Let your flag fly
So there I was, driving down Fir Street last Friday, about to turn into Melvin's for some of Cody's deeee-licious clam chowder, and as I looked up at Old Glory waving from the old post office flag pole something else caught my eye - a red shirt right below it.

Adopting a dog when you have kids
Your 8-year-old son and your 1-year-old pooch are playing in the room next to you, when suddenly you hear a growl coming from your dog. You race into the room and find your son trying to get the family dog to sit in a chair. Your son explains they were just playing a game and Fido needed to be sitting in that chair.

When your indoor cat becomes lost
It's spring and you're opening windows to let in the warm, fresh, fragrant air. And your indoor kitty can't help feel the warmth of the sun and smell the wonderful outdoors sitting near the window; she seems to develop "spring fever" and longs to be outside.

So grateful I'm not dead
As May approaches, I can't believe I'm coming up on the one-year anniversary of finishing cancer treatments. I don't go back to see my oncologist until July, when he'll do more labs and see how I'm doing.

Healthy "people food" for your dog
So Fido has finally learned to sit quietly and not beg at the table during dinnertime. What an accomplishment for your furry friend. But now that he's been so good, doesn't he deserve a table scrap?

Of a certain age...
I know I came into this room for a reason. Let's see. I got an email from my daughter telling me about ... what the heck did she tell me? OK, back to the computer, read the email again.
