SHS Reunion
A reunion for those who attended Sisters High School in the '40s, '50s and '60s will be held this weekend with a dinner at Brand 33 at Aspen Lakes on Saturday, August 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. ($20 per person) and a potluck picnic on Sunday, August 3 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on the lawn at Sisters High School (please bring a dish to share). Country Fair & Art Show
The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration will host its 19th Annual Country Fair & Art Show with artists' reception and silent auction Friday, August 8, 5 to 8 p.m.; the Country Fair and art show continues Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Funds raised go to various Sisters community support agencies. Metolius River Walk
Look for resident birds and flowers along the Metolius River on Saturday, August 2 on a walk from the Camp Sherman Store to the headwaters with Madeleine Landis and Friends of the Metolius. From 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (bring your binoculars and meet at the Camp Sherman bridge viewing platform). All ages welcome, but no dogs, please. For info call Madeleine, 541-595-2088.

Volunteer with Horses
Mustangs to the Rescue, an all-breed equine rescue and rehabilitation organization in Sisters, is seeking volunteers. You can assist them as they help provide horses in need with positive options! Stars Over Sisters Star Party
Learn about the night skies! Stargazers are invited to gather at the Sisters Park & Recreation District building on Friday, August 29 at 8 p.m. for a presentation and slide show. Kids' Free Meals Program

SHS Sports Deadlines
All Sisters High School athletes must be cleared with physicals, fees, fines and paperwork before practice starts Monday, August 18. "Starting School" Storytime for New Kindergarteners

Camp for Military Kids

Applications are available for the Sisters Kiwanis Career Opportunity Fund to help adult residents of Sisters establish an occupational path. Volunteer for City's Fiscal Advisory Committee
The City of Sisters is seeking a volunteer for the Fiscal Advisory Committee. The committee reviews compliance to financial management policies and more. The Sisters Doggie Dash & Stroll takes place Saturday, August 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. Come with or without a pooch! Outlaws BINGO
All are invited to the next Outlaws Together Bingo on Monday, August 11 at Sisters High School. Mentor a Child in Sisters
Ready to change the life of a child? Become a mentor with a child in Sisters! Circle of Friends provides mentor training, ongoing support, and resources. The City of Sisters is accepting applications for volunteers: one "in-city" (3-year term) and one "high school" (1-year term) on the Sisters City Parks Advisory Board.
