Habitat Build Slideshow
At the Sisters Library at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, Jack and MaryAnne McDonnell will share slides and stories from their Habitat for Humanity Global Village Build in Kyrgyzstan last fall. They will lead another trip to the Central Asian country this September and will answer questions about the trip. For more info call Habitat at 541-549-1193.

CPR and First Aid Class
Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Dept. will offer the American Heart Association "Heartsaver" First Aid and CPR class on Saturday, February 6 from 9 a.m. to about 4 p.m. at the Sisters Fire Hall. Presentation on Treatment and Prevention of Pain
At 1:30 p.m. at the Sisters Library on Sunday, February 7, local chiropractic physician Dr. Rob Jeffrey will discuss the sources of pain, appropriate treatment, and basic spine health. STA Membership Meeting
Sisters Trails Alliance will hold its annual membership meeting on Thursday, February 11 at Sisters Art Works at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Rocky Houston, manager of the Recreation Trails Grant Program at Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, is guest speaker. One-Act Plays
The community is invited to "Now You're Talking: Sisters One-Acts" at The Belfry on Friday & Saturday, February 5 & 6 at 7:30 p.m. Produced by Silent Echo Theater Co. in association with Sisters Classic Old-Time Radio Experience, over 20 actors and directors will entertain you! Shrove Tuesday Supper
On Tuesday, February 9, The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration presents its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. From 5 to 7 p.m., all are invited to enjoy buttermilk and blueberry pancakes, sausage, homemade applesauce, OJ, coffee and tea. Coffee House for the Arts
All are invited to the 19th annual Coffee House at Sisters High School, Monday, February 22, 7 to 9 p.m. Enjoy art demos and live entertainment from the high school music programs. Warm up with coffee and cookies; enjoy hands-on creation stations including the pottery wheel (for all ages). Mr. SHS Pasta Feed
The annual fundraising pasta feed for the Mr. SHS Pageant will take place at Sisters Community Church on Sunday, February 21 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Cakes created by the contestants and escorts will be auctioned off, and there will be an auction for three hours of service provided by the contestants. For more info call SHS at 541-549-4045.

"Better Half" Marathon
Registration is now open for the 5th Annual Sisters Better Half Marathon. Proceeds from the race on Saturday, April 23 go to the Sisters High School swim team. Digital Downloads Lab
On Wednesday, February 10 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Sisters Library, a free open lab is offered where you can get help on eReaders, eBooks, digital music, magazines and more. Registration is recommended at the library or by calling 541-312-1072.

Winter Women's Event
At Sisters Community Church on Saturday, February 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., "Spice Up Your Life" includes demos on using spices in food, along with life application. A light lunch is included. Free, but reservations are requested at 541-549-1201 or info@sisterschurch.com.

Science Club Presentation
At The Belfry on Tuesday, February 23 at 6 p.m., Sisters Science Club sponsors Jon Renner, presenting "Science and Society." $5 (but free to students, teachers, and club donors). Don Johnson Service Award
Cloverdale RFPD is accepting nominations for the Don Johnson Community Service Award through Saturday, February 13. Nominee must reside in the Cloverdale fire district, exhibit community spirit and volunteerism. The recipient will be recognized at the annual awards banquet in March. Horse Obstacle Course
The nonprofit Mustangs to the Rescue presents an obstacle course practice & tack donation drop-off on Saturday, February 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rolling M Ranch, 69516 Hinkle Butte Dr. $10 per person to cover insurance, with extra proceeds supporting the horses. Sisters Shootout Tourney
The Sisters Shootout is a premier youth basketball tournament for boys and girls grades 5-8 from all across Oregon. Career Funds Available
The Sisters Kiwanis Career Opportunity Fund helps adult residents of Sisters establish an occupational path. Pick up an application at the Kiwanis House, corner of Oak Street and Main Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays, and during regular hours from the Sisters Habitat for Humanity office. Open Computer Labs

The Library Book Club

Pajama Parties for Kids

Register for Little League
Early registration for Sisters Little League is taking place now through February 29 at Sisters Park & Recreation District, and includes a free skills camp ($60 value!). Cost of registration goes up $10 after February 29; final deadline is March 16. Umpires, coaches, volunteers and sponsors are also being sought. Hunter Education Class
