Sisters lost 21-7 at home to McLoughlin on Friday, August 30. The Outlaws made several mistakes in the game, and McLoughlin capitalized on the errors.
The Pioneers scored on their opening drive on a seven-yard pass and quickly took a 7-0 lead. McLoughlin scored again in the second quarter and at the half held a 14-0 advantage over the Outlaws.
Sisters narrowed the lead to 14-7 on the opening possession of the second half. The Outlaws went 65 yards in eight plays and scored on an 18-yard pass from Tristan Lewis to Isaac MacKenzie. Josh Andrade's kick for the PAT was good.
McLoughlin took possession of the ball and came right back to score and extend their lead to 21-7. Both teams were held scoreless in the final quarter, and the Pioneers walked away with the win.
Sisters rushed for 48 yards and threw for 126 yards for a total of 174 yards. McLoughlin tallied 293 total offensive yards.
Nate Kaping led Sisters with 51 yards rushing, and McKenzie was the Outlaws' leading receiver with 48 yards.
Shane Cormalis led the Outlaws on defense with nine tackles and a fumble recovery.
"We made quite a few mistakes, and we need to fix those this week and keep getting better," said Coach Gary Hedin.
The Outlaws will travel to Burns on Friday, September 6.
