Zach Morgan went the distance on the mound for Sisters in the 2-0 shut-out at Sutherlin on Tuesday, April 24. Zach allowed three hits, no runs, and struck out 12.

Morgan said, "This was one of my best pitching performances I've had in high school. It was the first time that my fastball, curve-ball, and change-up were all working. The reason why I could be so successful was that I could throw any pitch in any count. I also had a really great defense behind me."

Senior Austin Morss led off with a triple in the top of the first inning to fire up the Outlaws, but unfortunately Sisters just couldn't manage any more hits and Austin was left stranded on third.

In the fifth, Morss beat out his infield hit and reached first base. Austin stole second, and advanced to third on a passed ball. Morgan hit a line drive to right-center to bring Morss home for Sisters' first score of the contest.

The Outlaws got their final run in the top of the seventh. Morss again made it to first base, this time via a walk, stole second, and reached third on a bunt from Turner Stutzman. Pherry Luz hit a sacrifice fly to shallow-right field to score Morss and put the Outlaws on top 2-0. Sisters held off the Bulldogs in the bottom of the inning and posted the win.

Sisters' defense was stellar, with no errors for the game.

Taylor Fendall, the Outlaws' catcher, commented, "We've been playing really clean defense, and that's why we've been winning games. We've been able to hold teams to low numbers, which gives us a better chance of winning."

Morss was perfect at the plate, going three-for-three. Morgan and Taylor Fendall each recorded a single.

The Outlaws' Friday double-header at Elmira was canceled due to rain and will be made up at a later date. Sisters was to play at home against Cottage Grove on Tuesday, May 1. They will play a

double-header at Junction City on Friday.
