Black Butte Ranch welcomes new CEO

Black Butte Ranch is welcoming new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jay Head.

Head brings 17 years of club leadership, most recently serving as the general manager/COO at Palm Valley Country Club. Head got his career start as the assistant general manager of Waverley Country Club (WCC) in Portland.

In 2005 he accepted the general manager/COO position with Willamette Valley Country Club (WVCC) in Canby, where he spent seven years successfully guiding strategically targeted operating goals and the development of a detail-oriented, financially effective and service-driven organization. Before moving to Palm Desert, Head also led Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club and The Oregon Golf Club where he applied effective and strategic organizational leadership

fundamentals.

Owen Osborne, Black Butte Ranch homeowner and current chairman of the board for the Black Butte Ranch Association, stated, "Jay is an energetic leader who has a passion for connecting with the community and a proven ability to bring teams together to provide a positive experience for owners and guests. His leadership will be a strong positive for both our dedicated employees and diverse homeowner community."

"I am honored to join the team at Black Butte Ranch and continue the Ranch's legacy as the Northwest's premier recreational community," said Head. "I am also extremely excited to be back in this wonderful part of the country."

Jay originally grew up in Tyler and Dallas, Texas, prior to moving to Oregon where he fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.

A lifelong golfer, Jay first found his passion for the game as a young boy while tagging along with his grandfather during friendly rounds of golf at his country club in East Texas.

In addition to golf, Head is passionate about the great outdoors and is excited to enjoy the abundance of activities and scenic beauty Central Oregon

offers.

Head started at Black Butte Ranch on July 28.
