Master luthier Preston Thompson and the entire guitar-making gang invite the community out to celebrate the grand opening of Preston Thompson Guitars on Friday, January 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The evening will be one of fun and music as Thompson welcomes friends, visitors, and musicians to his new downtown headquarters beside The Belfry in Sisters. Tour the showroom and workshop, enjoy refreshments, chat with members of the creative team and absorb the vintage vibes of their latest line of acclaimed acoustic guitars.
On Saturday, January 18, Thompson Guitars extends the party to the old church stage at The Belfry with a day of workshops, demos, concerts and surprises.
From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. the sweet sounds of guitars, fiddles and mandolins will fill the air in a Sisters salute to bluegrass and Americana roots music with Tim May, Gretchen Priest-May, and Dan Miller.
