The boys' golf team finished their first match of the season with a score of 314 - enough to place the Outlaws second in the three-team match held at Crooked River Ranch on Thursday, March 15.

Summit won the match with a score of 294, and Madras finished at 340.

Michael Reeve led Sisters with a score of 73. Reeve's round was highlighted by an eagle at the par four ninth hole.

"He drove the green and made the putt," Coach Jeff Barton said.

Cody Farr-Baenziger carded a 78, Jonathan Standen shot an 80, Evan Mitchell an 83 and Billy Jacobsen rounded out the scoring with an 85.

Barton was pleased with his team's performance.

"Our score of 314 was great for so early in the year," said Barton. "The freshmen really stepped up and played well. To see them shoot the scores they did is very encouraging. We had a little trouble with the greens, but all in all it was a great outing for us."

The Outlaws next match will be April 4, at Tokatee.
