Stewart (Stu) R. Marshall passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 2, 2014 at the age of 83.

Stu was born in Glendale, California, December 23, 1930.

Preceded in death by his parents Junas and Maude Marshall; three brothers: Howard, Junas and Bob. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Marshall; four children: Alan Marshall, Barbara Berquist, Debbie Marshall and Don Marshall. He also had 8 stepchildren: Kurt Gutierres, Emily Gutierres, Cassie Gutierres, Tym Catterson, Kathy Levine, Teresa Drews, Lynn Dagenhardt and Jason Dagenhardt. Stu also had 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Stu enjoy traveling, hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, golf, football and playing cards. He was a history buff, and quite the mathematician.

Stu was a resident of Sisters for 36 years. He was a meat-cutter for over 15 years, worked at Sentry in Sisters for part of those years. He was also a Little League coach in California. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

Stu retired early so he could enjoy traveling with Barbara. He completed seeing all 50 states in May of 2012.

Memorial mass will be held April 26 at

St. Edward the Martyr Catholic Church in Sisters, at 11 a.m. Luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Edward Church or St. Charles Hospice.
