Clifford F. Sunderland

Clifford F. Sunderland of Redmond died on October 1. He was 89.

He was born in Moline, Illinois, to Helen McBain and Frank Sunderland.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in both the Pacific and European theaters and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

He married Marjorie Ohrberg. He was forman of Overhaul Combat Vehicle Division, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois. He was a member of the Moline Elks, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was a golfer, an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Mr. Sunderland was the father of Nancy Dempsey and father-in-law of Dennis Dempsey of Sisters.

He is also survived by brother-in-law Richard Orhberg of Boise, Idaho; and sister Carol Aitken of Coal Valley, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie and daughter Sue Amoni.
