A.T. was born in Malone, Texas to James and Amelia Telitha McMillan. His mother died when he was born, and they named him after her initials. The family moved to Searchlight, Nevada when he was young, where he worked in the gold mines.

He enlisted in the army during World War II, going through the Battle of the Bulge and receiving the Purple Heart. Shortly after his discharge from the army, he began studying the Bible and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1949.

He remained an active member until his death. For the last six years he has been associated with the Sisters Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He met Sarah (Sally) Buley, in Hood River and they were married April 11, 1948.

Mac (A.T.), as most people knew him, is survived by his wife, a daughter Carol, a son Randall, seven grandsons and three great-granddaughters. A memorial will be held Wednesday, February 21, at 6 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
