Sisters woman faces assault charges

Sheriff's deputies arrested Tressy Ann Iverson of Sisters on Friday, June 23, after she allegedly beat up a woman in Redmond and rammed the woman's car.

According to sheriff's office reports, a deputy on patrol in Sisters was advised about 8:10 p.m. to be on the lookout for Iverson's vehicle as there was probable cause to arrest her for assault and she was thought to be heading for her Washington Street home.

The deputy spotted the car, made a stop and contacted Iverson, who appeared intoxicated.

When the deputy advised Iverson of her rights and told her she was under arrest for assaulting the woman in Redmond, Iverson allegedly responded "I'm proud that I kicked her ass."

The assault allegedly took place earlier that evening when Iverson, 34, drove to a home in Redmond where her female cousin was living with Iverson's ex-boyfriend.

An altercation erupted when the woman demanded that Iverson leave her property. Iverson and the woman ended up on the ground, with Iverson allegedly punching the woman repeatedly. Iverson allegedly called her passenger into the fray.

According to sheriff's office reports, the victim was left with scratches and red marks and appeared to have had a fair amount of hair pulled from her head.

Once the hand-to-hand combat had ceased, Iverson allegedly got back into her car and rammed her victim's car twice, once pushing it into the corner of the house.

The victim's four-year-old twins reportedly witnessed the entire incident.

At the scene of the traffic stop, deputies administered field sobriety tests to Iverson, who allegedly failed them. She was taken into custody on two counts of Assault II (a felony); fourth degree domestic assault (since her alleged victim was a blood relative and the assault took place in front of minor children); a charge of menacing; reckless driving; two counts of recklessly endangering another person; criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

She was also charged with drunk driving and driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Deputies cited Iverson's passenger for harassment and released her.
