In the only game scheduled for the week, the Sisters boys baseball team continued its domination of the opposition with an 11-1 thrashing of Molalla on Thursday, April 25.

The game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning due to the 10 run mercy rule.

Evan Livsey pitched all five frames to get the win. He walked one, struck out four and scattered five hits. Pat Burke had the big stick for the Outlaws, going 2-for-3 with a double and home run and three RBI.

Burke's double scored Lucas Denzer from first base to end the game.

The Outlaws are 18-1-1 and ranked number five.

The boys also shine off the field. In a recent academic ranking, the boys baseball team roster had a higher cumulative grade point average than any 3A baseball team in Oregon.

Being number one in the state academically comes as no surprise to coach Ray Garrettson.

"It's consistent with the way they approach the game," he said. " The traits they have on the ball field were learned at home and in the classroom."
