Effective pitching and a balanced attack contributed to two more wins in the Capital Conference for the Outlaws baseball squad last week.

The Outlaws visited Sweet Home on Tuesday, April 30 and came away with a 9-2 victory.

With the score 4-0 going into the fifth inning, Sweet Home scored two in the bottom of the fifth to make a game of it at 4-2.

But Sisters bounced right back with four more runs in the top of the sixth to put the game out of reach.

Mike Greene pitched a complete game for the win. He scattered four hits, with five strikeouts and two walks.

Pat Burke led the offense by going 3-for-5 at the plate, with three RBI and three runs scored.

The same recipe worked on Thursday, May 2, when the Outlaws hosted traditional powerhouse North Marion.

Evan Livsey went the distance on the mound. He gave up five hits, struck out six batters and walked two.

Eight of the nine starters had hits. Mike Greene, Lucas Denzer, Pat Burke, and Nathan Powell each had at least two hits.

Sisters is 20-1-1 overall.
