Sisters’ musicians, actors and comedians will strut their stuff on the high school stage on Saturday, February 26 in the Sisters Act.

The show starts at 7 p.m. in the Sisters High School auditorium. The theme of this year’s production is “Sisters Act at the Beach.”

The audience will be entertained by the Fiddlesticks, Beach Boy Builders and “Cruise the Caribbean” with Amity and Devon Calvin along with Drew and Emily Corrigan. The Sisters High School Jazz Choir will be there and a refugee dance troupe from Madras will perform a modern dance.

There will be a special guest appearance by “The Soggy Bottom Boys” singing “Man of Constant Sorrow.”

Third grade teacher Kelly Powell will be the Master of Ceremonies along with Melvin Herburger to assist with door prizes. This year’s student MCs will be Drew Jacobsen and Isaiah Wieland.

The event is sponsored by Sisters Good Samaritan Ministries (GSM) and proceeds will be shared with GSM of Masaka, Uganda Africa to help with a school/orphanage in Nambirrizi.

The orphanage has a population of 236 students and is located in one of the remote areas in western Uganda dominated by refugees of the Rwanda genocide and plagued by the results of AIDS.

The Sisters Act Committee has also set aside a portion of the funds raised each year to benefit local programs at Sisters High School.

Tickets are available at the Mountain Man Trading Post, The Pony Express and at the door.

Adult tickets are $8 and children 12 and under are $4. Doors open at 6 p.m.
