Incumbent Andrea Blum, Jennifer Letz and Gary Ross appear to have won the race for the three open seats on Sisters City Council, according to reporting from the Deschutes County Clerk’s Office early Wednesday morning. Blum had tallied 1,087  votes; Letz 1,077; and Ross had tallied 981. Susan Cobb had recorded 701  votes and Elizabeth Fisher 647.

The top two vote-getters will serve a four year term; the third will serve for two years.

Phil Chang held the lead in the race for Position #2 on the Deschutes County Board of commissioners with 52.28 percent of the vote to incumbent Phil Henderson’s 47.63 percent.

Sheriff Shane Nelson led the race to hold his position with 55.93 percent of the vote to challenger Scott Schaier’s 43.67 percent.

Measure 9-139 providing funding for new library facilities appeared headed for passage with 52.26 percent of the vote.
