    I am involved with the Citizens4Civility (C4C) non-profit here in Sisters Country. For about 18 months we have been hosting quarterly Civility Project/Speak Your Peace meetings to share ideas and techniques for how we can all be more respectful with each other.   • Working with TUPs, quilts and visitors

    I would like to take the Temporary Use Permit (TUP) decision in a new direction. I want to discuss the entire Quilt Show day in terms of what provides the "best visitor experience." As far as the TUP is concerned, I have two thoughts: First, does the "tent city" add business to the city retailers or intercept their business? It appears on the surface to intercept business, which is not fair to the local merchants - but we really don't know the sales numbers.     On Christmas Day evening, the red sunset over the snow capped Three Sisters was breathtaking, it was so beautiful - why not share it, someone shared it with you! I'm pro-growth. We live in a beautiful place that needs to be shared with others. There are three primary ways for us to grow: 1. New companies move to town (EDCO is working on this); 2. Tourism; 3.
