  • Exchange student enjoyed Sisters

    Max Kahnt came to Sisters for a whole school year at Sisters High School as part of the foreign-exchange program. Kahnt said that he decided to come to America because he wanted to see America based on what he saw in the movies. "I would see movies with America as the setting and would say to myself that's a place I want to see and I wanted to see it for myself," he said.   • Class of 2015 off to the future

    The class of 2015 celebrated their graduation from Sisters High School last Friday, June 5. The students were overjoyed to be done with high school and celebrate with their friends and family. The night started out with the singing of the national anthem by the SHS Jazz Choir and the processional of the senior class in front of a packed gym that had been specially decorated for the event.     Students from Sisters IEE program (Interdisciplinary Environmental Education) and Rima Givot's high school biology class presented at the Deschutes Watershed Summit at Eagle Crest Resort on Tuesday, May 12.     On Wednesday, April 22, Rima Givot and her Biology B class headed out to Indian Ford and Camp Polk meadows to examine some birds. Mentors from Deschutes Land Trust and members of the community came out to help groups of students identify different species of birds.
