The City of Sisters recently launched a survey to all business license holders based within the City. The City of Sisters continues to support the efforts implemented by the state to curb the spread of COVID-19. We understand the divisiveness some of these efforts have caused through a political lens. The City is apolitical and works to provide the highest-level of service to our community through evidenced-based public policymaking. With Memorial Day Weekend behind us and June around the corner, the City is closely monitoring Deschutes County data of COVID-19 cases and continuing to research ways to balance safety and prosperity. Although Sisters is a safe community, there is always room for improvement. In the 2016 survey conducted by the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office, “Community Attitudes About Public Safety in Deschutes County,” Sisters — across the board — reported the lowest level of concerns on public safety topics compared to other communities.
