Local bluesman Bobby Sims and his band will rock the Sisters Smokehouse Corral on Sunday afternoon, May 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. in a fund-raiser for the Sisters Folk Festival. Sims, who will also perform at the folk festival this fall, will play on the outdoor stage at the Smokehouse. A $5 donation to the Sisters Folk Festival is requested. The Forest Service is making non-marketable wood available to the public. All along the Highway 20 corridor north of Sisters, the Forest Service continues to thin trees as part of a program intended to enhance forest health. The trees are already down and waiting.
