When talking pictures hit the silver screen in the 1930s, people flocked to the theatre. This week, a new kind of "talkies" hits Sisters Movie House and organizers hope it will be exciting too. The new Talkies series, billed as an "interactive film experience," brings artistic movies and audience discussion to Sisters in a sort of book club for movie lovers. SOAR (Sisters Organization for Activities and Recreation) has a new Web site and online registration service. The new Web site can be found at www.sistersrecreation.com. Information about the SOAR Recreation District is available on the Web site, including information about all of the winter and spring program offerings.
