  • Library art exhibit will be a ‘first’

    Sisters has become an artistic center in Central Oregon. Dozens of local artists have gained regional, national and international reputations for their varied work. But until now, Sisters area residents have not had a chance to see these artists’ work in one place.   • Sisters Little League registration underway

    Registration for the 2006 season of Sisters Little League started this week. Play includes T-Ball, coach-pitch and player-pitch baseball for boys and girls and girls softball. Information and registration forms are available at the SOAR office and can be downloaded from www.sisterslittleleague.org. Registration packets were mailed to all 180 of last year’s participants.   • New Orleans trip aids needy residents

    Sisters residents Ron and Kim Barry and their two children flew to New Orleans the week before Christmas, following a vision they had for helping the people affected by Hurricane Katrina. Their “Blessings to New Orleans” gift drive resulted in eighteen large boxes of toys and gifts donated by people from around the Central Oregon region.
