    Last week, I received a telephone call from Gary Hostick of Sisters who shared a tragic experience with me; he had found a severely injured Golden Eagle alongside the road out near Alfalfa. The eagle had a mangled wing and would never fly again. The tragic part of this disaster is that it could have probably been avoided if the driver of the rig that hit the eagle had been traveling slower.
