  • Firefighters will get live fire training

    The Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District (SCSFD) plans to conduct live fire training exercises on Sunday, February 13 and Sunday, February 20 at 201 N. Pine St. in Sisters. The exercise will provide invaluable training to our firefighters using live fire, according to Deputy Fire Chief Tim Craig, who serves as the district training officer.     Sisters High School will host the 4A Special District #4 Regional Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, February 12. The top four wrestlers from each weight class will advance to the State Championships on February 26, at Cascade High School in Turner, Oregon.     Sisters-Camp Sherman Rural Fire Protection District is extending the application period to fill a vacant position on the board of directors. Completed applications need to be returned, with a cover letter, to the Fire District’s administrative office no later than Friday, February 25 at 5 p.m. After reviewing all applications, the board of directors will appoint the successful candidate to the vacant position through June 30, 2023.     The Lady Outlaws hoopsters fell 48-35 on the road at Stayton on Thursday, February 4. The Eagles are a good team and entered the contest with an 11-4 record. In the Outlaws’ last matchup against Stayton they fell 24-45, so they did perform better this time around.
