Hadley McCann has been taking photographs since his teens. Now retired from the FBI, he recently opened Sisters’ only photography studio in the Sisters Arts Works building. When Rosita Rerat, Laura Campbell and Sam Scharf were in high school in Sisters, the My Own Two Hands art project gave them an unusual opportunity to present their work in the company of professional artists. Now that they are either professionals themselves or working toward careers in art, the former Sisters High School students are submitting work to the 2006 My Own Two Hands art auction as a way of giving back to the program that helped nurture their artistic aspirations.... Tickets are now on sale for the 66th annual PRCA Sisters Rodeo, scheduled for June 9-11 at the Sisters Rodeo Grounds. The stage at Sisters Elementary School became a platform for an old-fashioned hootenanny on Thursday, March 9, as students from the fifth-grade Americana Project performed for an audience of parents. The students performed six classic American folk songs, each one introduced by student speakers. A new team has purchased Storton Designs and will continue to provide interior design services for both residential and commercial customers throughout Central Oregon. Janet Storton sold her business, which she began in Sisters 12 years ago, as of March 1.
