  • Women to flyfish on the Metolius River

    Central Oregon Flyfishers Wild Women of the Water will host a day of flyfishing on the Metolius River on Saturday, April 2. John Judy, local fishing expert, will provide his expertise for the free excursion. He will show the group how to collect insects from the river and match the insects to flies. The group will meet at the Camp Sherman Store at 10 a.m. Dress in layers and bring lunch and beverages. Weather conditions can change rapidly.   • Sisters man wins Starry Nights drawing

    Tim Rollins of Sisters drew the lucky winning ticket for the Sisters Starry Nights giveaway this week. Rollins won two tickets to the sold-out concert by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band scheduled for Saturday, April 7. He also won a $50 dinner certificate for Coyote Creek Café and some Coca Cola products.
