  • Pair runs at Hayward Field

    Surrounded by past and future Olympians at the site of the upcoming U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials, two Sisters eighth-graders took to the track in the annual Oregon Twilight Meet Middle School Mile. Dyut Fetrow and Izaak Kanzig, leading runners for the Sisters Middle School track team, raced among about 37 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders, from throughout Oregon.   • Outlaws golfers win tourney at Black Butte Ranch

    The boys golf team edged Cottage Grove by three strokes to take championship honors at the Big Meadow Course at Black Butte Ranch on Monday, April 30. Three days later the Outlaws tied for 10th place with Mountain View at the Meadow Lakes Invitational in Prineville. In Monday's action, Sisters carded a team score of 352 for a first-place finish and the Lions were runner-up at 355. Junction City finished third at 452 and LaPine recorded a 461 for fourth place.   • Girls golf takes second at Tokatee

    The girls golf team played in the La Pine Invitational Tournament at the Quail Run Golf Course on Monday, April 30, and walked away with a third-place finish. Three days later, Sisters bettered their team score by over 20 strokes to take second place at the Robinson Memorial Tournament at the Tokatee Golf Club in Blue River. On Monday, La Pine took championship honors with a team score of 420.   • Girls lacrosse wraps up league play

    The girls lacrosse team wrapped up their season with a convincing 18-11 win over Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis on Tuesday, May 1. Three days earlier Sisters beat South Eugene 5-4 in a morning game and then in the afternoon lost 8-11 to Bend United. In Tuesday's game against Crescent Valley teams played down, nine-on-nine, because Crescent Valley was short players. It was a tough start for the Outlaws' defense.   • Girls tennis finishes league with round robin tourney

    The Lady Outlaws tennis team hosted a four-team round robin tourney at Black Butte Ranch on Saturday, May 6. Cascade, Junction City and Mt. View attended the event. Sisters defeated Junction City 5-3, lost to Mt. View 3-5, and tied 4-4 with Cascade. Elise Herron and Becky Thomas played together for the first time as the No. 1 duo team and won two of their three matches for the day with victories over Mt. View and Junction City.   • Track teams continue to shine

    A non-scored Sky-Em meet at the site of the upcoming District Meet seemed to suit the Sisters Outlaws track and field teams well, as a number of team members picked up personal bests in the relatively relaxed five-way competition.
