    Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 34-year-old transient after a local resident found the man sleeping in his bed. According to a sheriff’s office report, deputies were dispatched at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, to a residence in the 200 block of S. Elm Street in Sisters regarding a burglary.   • Forest Service opens some day-use sites

    The Deschutes National Forest opened most developed day-use sites and boat ramps on the national forest.
