    There is a stretch of the Crooked River near Prineville where Canada geese nest in abandoned hawk and eagle nests on sheer cliffs a far distance from water, and in some places 50 to 75 feet above the rocks and brush below.   • Golfers play for a cause at Aspen Lakes

    Although the weather was less than perfect for the annual Ray's Food Place-Sisters Kiwanis Charitable Funds Golf Tournament, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the golfers. The event is the largest fund-raiser of the year for the Sisters Kiwanis and returned to Aspen Lakes Golf Course after last year's absence.     Culminating one of the best years in the history of Outlaws track and field, Sisters athletes left their marks at Hayward Field at the OSAA 4A Championships held May 17-19. After going through a season that saw a league championship by the boys and over 50 new entries to the school's all-time top 10 list, the state meet was the final chance to add to the record books for the 2007 season.
