Iris Tope, 91, of Sisters, passed away June 15, 2010, surrounded by her close family. Iris was preceded in passing by her husband Millard R. Tope on June 14, 2008. Iris was born May 4, 1919 in Liberty, Utah, to William R. and Dora (Moosman) Collings. Iris was married to Millard R. Tope August 18, 1942, in Yuma, Arizona. Iris is survived by her son M. The story published in The Nugget two weeks ago about the carp at Malheur NWR leaves one with the impression that the "Good Old Days" of birding at Malheur are gone forever.
