  • Folk musician performs at Club

    Folk musician Johnsmith will perform at Sisters Athletic Club on Thursday, July 28. Johnsmith is a veteran of the Sisters Folk Festival, where he both performed and served as an instructor at the Americana Song Academy. The singer/songwriter is a past winner of the Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Award and has won wide acclaim for his earthy delivery of finely crafted songs.     All the Chinese were wearing Mao suits in 1980. Under Deng Xiao Ping the country was becoming the tiniest bit capitalistic but remained culturally isolated from the rest of the world.
