Soda Creek Gallery of Sisters is hosting a raffle to benefit Wild Wings Raptor Rehabilitation, also of Sisters. Wildlife artist Tom Murphy is donating an owl sculpture, with all proceeds going to raptor rehabilitation. Raptors include eagles, hawks, owls, falcons and osprey. It seems like only yesterday that my son, Ross, and his big brother, Dean, sat in the back of our Piper Cub playing "roller coaster" over the rich farmland of the Willamette Valley near Beaverton. Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) wants Judge Stephen Tiktin to reconsider the harsh ruling he handed down against the electric utility earlier this month. Tiktin found that Central Electric Cooperative willfully and intentionally withheld documents in a dispute with the Cyrus family of Sisters over the placement of 75- to 85-foot steel power poles across Cyrus property east of Sisters.
