A total of 13 downtown Sisters businesses were "tagged" with graffiti overnight on Sunday, October 8. The tagger or taggers hit businesses along Cascade Avenue, Main Avenue and several side streets during the spree. In the face of heavy public opposition in Sisters, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is dropping the eastbound lane out of its proposed passing lane project west of town. The new plan calls for only a westbound passing lane between Cascade Meadow Ranch and Cold Springs Cutoff.
