    Red House Recording artists Storyhill will perform in concert at Sisters Art Works, 204 W. Adams Ave. on Saturday, November 15, at 7 p.m. Over the course of almost 20 years, Storyhill has performed for audiences throughout the country and internationally.   • School Local Option levy fails; Kellstrom, Bogart, Thompson lead in council race - Updated Wednesday, November 5, 9:45 a.m.

    The renewal of the Sisters School District Local Option levy has failed by a margin of 52 percent (No) to 48 percent (Yes). The measure received 1,738 votes in favor; 1893 votes were cast in opposition. The 75 cents per $1,000 in assessed valuation levy provides some 9 percent of the Sisters School District budget for the past nine years, amounting to approximately $1 million each year. In the Sisters City Council race, Lon Kellstrom won 389 votes to hold his seat. Jerry Bogart earned a seat with 302 votes and Pat Thompson... Full story
