Swim team eighth at State
Behind a second- and third-place finish in two events by Lydia Bartlett, the Sisters High School girls swim team wrapped up the season with an eighth-place team finish at the OSAA 4A/3A/2A/1A State Championships held February 15 and 16 at the Tualatin Valley Swim Center in Beaverton.

Lady Outlaws put the bite on the Huskies
The Lady Outlaws suffered a hard 44-19 loss at home against Stayton on Wednesday, February 13, but bounced back two days later with a huge 43-23 victory at home over the Sweet Home Huskies.

Outlaws muzzle the Huskies on senior night
The Outlaws posted a decisive 55-35 victory over the Sweet Home Huskies at home on senior night on Friday, February 17. They fell 41-26 two days earlier at home to Stayton, the undefeated top team in the Oregon West League, and the No. 3-ranked team in the state.

Girls lacrosse gets new head coach
Sisters girls lacrosse players have got themselves a new head coach in Shelby Wilcox, who was just recently hired to fill the position. Wilcox brings lots of player experience and a deep knowledge of the game.

Wrestlers make Outlaws history at district championships
The nine Outlaws wrestlers who competed at the OSAA Special District 4A Wrestling Championships at Madras High School Friday and Saturday, February 8-9, posted Sisters' best showing ever for Outlaws wrestling. They finished sixth out of eight teams with a score of 80.5.

Lady Outlaws post big basketball win over Woodburn
The Lady Outlaws notched a sweet 41-32 victory at home over Woodburn on Wednesday, February 6. The contest was played a day later than scheduled due to weather conditions.

Lady Outlaws lose two on court
The Outlaws lost both their games last week: a 49-39 loss at home against Newport on Tuesday, January 29, and three days later they were defeated 54-26 at Cascade.

The Outlaws started off slow in Tuesday's game against Newport, and at the close of the first quarter the Cubs had doubled them up at 16-8.

Outlaws post overtime win over Newport
Sisters defeated the Newport Cubs in a final score of 58-52 in a thrilling overtime nail-biter at home on Tuesday, January 29. Three days later, the Outlaws fell in a 46-45 heartbreaker at Cascade.

Swimmers set for District Meet
State qualification are on the line as the Sisters Outlaws swim team heads to District this weekend at South Albany High School. Sisters will face off with the best from the other 10 schools in Special District 3 this Friday and Saturday. The top finishers in each of the individual and relay events will advance to the Oregon State Championships set for February 15 and 16 at Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center. In addition, the remaining 11 state spots in each event will be filled based on times from the four 4A/3A/2A/1A Special Districts.

Skiers hit new levels in Giant Slalom
The boys varsity ski squad had an outstanding performance and took third in the Giant Slalom race at Mt. Bachelor on Saturday, February 2, a goal they've been striving for all season.

The Outlaws hosted their first tournament ever on Tuesday, January 22. Prior to the tourney, they celebrated senior Dalton Ford and his four years as a varsity wrestler.

Alpine skiers turn in strong performance on slopes
The Outlaws boys ski team finished fourth in their race at Mt. Bachelor on Saturday, January 26, and the girls posted an eighth-place finish under sunny, warm, and calm conditions.

Wrestlers compete at Oregon Classic
The Outlaws attended the Oregon Classic on Friday and Saturday, January 18-19, held at the Redmond Expo Center. The annual event brought in 94 high school teams, which were split into five divisions. This year's event also featured the expansion of the high school girls dual matches, with four girls teams. They also hosted the women's college tournament that included nine girls' teams from Oregon, Canada, Illinois, and California.

The Outlaws logged two wins last week to push their league record to 2-1. Sisters defeated Cascade 34-26 and brought down Woodburn 47-30.
