Amanda J. Gregory, 17, and Jesse E. Sullivan, 19, were both charged with second-degree robbery.
According to Bend police Lieutenant Jeanette Cleaves, Gregory entered the BP station's convenience store at the corner of 8th Street and Greenwood Avenue at about 8:50 p.m., January 8, shortly before the station closed.
Gregory was allegedly carrying a BB pistol that resembled a semi-automatic firearm.
"It was a BB gun," Lt. Cleaves told The Nugget. "However, it was a real look-alike semi-automatic."
According to police, Gregory sprayed the station attendant with pepper spray during the robbery. Police reported that Sullivan was involved in the robbery but was not inside the store.
Police would not specify the amount taken in the robbery, but Lt. Cleaves noted that none of the stolen money was recovered.
Sullivan was lodged in Deschutes County Jail pending $50,000 bail. Gregory was held with $20,000 bail. According to police, she will be tried as an adult. Both suspects face up to 7-1/2 years in prison if convicted.
