News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Sisters area kids will be on the hunt for Easter eggs this Easter Sunday as the Sisters-Camp Sherman Volunteer Fire-Ambulance Association hosts their annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. at the Sisters City Park.
The park is located at Highway 20 and East Jefferson Avenue.
The Easter Bunny and the Cloverdale Volunteer Firefighters' Association will be at the park to help hide 4,000 colored eggs. There will be 16 special prize eggs for the lucky hunters who find them. The Easter Bunny will give all participants chocolate candy eggs.
Children are asked to be at the Sisters City Park 20 minutes prior to 1 p.m. to allow time to divide into the proper age groups and hunting areas.
The age groups and the corresponding color of flags and tape marking the boundaries are as follows:
Infants to two -- orange; age three to five -- yellow; six to eight -- blue; nine to 11 -- green.
Four special plastic prize eggs will be hidden in each age-group's hunting area. A child who finds one needs to seek out the marshal in that search area who will be wearing an orange hunting vest.
The child will be asked their name, age, and hometown. When all prize eggs have been found the finders will redeem the eggs for prizes from the Easter Bunny in the center of the park.
Only one prize egg per child is allowed.
Vehicle parking is limited; allow time for walking to the park.
