Teddy Dale George, 22, of Sisters, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and second-degree assault after a wreck April 18 that sent several Sisters area residents to the hospital.
According to sheriff's department reports, George lost control of his Ford pickup as he tried to pass another vehicle heading northbound on Camp Polk Road at about 11:24 p.m.
George allegedly drove off the west side of the road and rolled the truck several times. George was ejected and the other passengers were hurt.
According to St. Charles Medical Center spokesman Todd Sprague, George suffered facial fractures, a concussion and some arm and ankle injuries. He was to have been released Monday.
One of his passengers, Awbrey Michelle Walters, 24, was upgraded from serious to fair condition and remained at St. Charles on Monday. The other two passengers in the truck were treated and released.
According to the Deschutes County Sheriff's Department, alcohol was suspected in the accident and the case has been referred to the district attorney's office
