Local logging operation hit by theft

A logging operation 15 miles southwest of Sisters was hit by a theft overnight on March 26-27.

According to sheriff's department reports, someone broke into a log loader owned by Barclay Logging and stole a CB radio and a couple of antennas. The thief or thieves also broke into a feller-buncher owned by Shoestring Logging and stole a number of wrenches.

Snowfall covered any racks at the scene, deputies reported. An investigation is continuing.
