Egg hunt set for Sisters City Park

Sisters children up to age 11 will be on the hunt in Sisters City Park on Easter Sunday, April 12, participating in the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Sisters - Camp Sherman Volunteer Fire/Ambulance Association.

The park is located at Highway 20 and East Jefferson Avenue.

A siren signal will kick off the hunt promptly at 1 p.m., regardless of weather. The Easter Bunny will greet children of all ages, and assist the members of Sisters - Camp Sherman V.F.A.A. along with the Cloverdale Volunteer Firefighters Association in the hiding of more than 4,000 colored eggs, and 16 special prize eggs. The Easter Bunny will have chocolate candy eggs for all participants.

Children are asked to be at the Sisters City Park 20 minutes prior to 1 p.m. to allow time for them to be divided into the proper age groups and hunting areas.

The age groups and the corresponding color of flags and flagging tape marking the boundaries are as follows:

Infants to two - Orange; 3-5 - Yellow; 6-8 - Blue; 9-11 - Green. The white area is out-of-bounds.

Four special plastic prize eggs will be hidden in each age group's hunting area. When a child finds one, he or she should seek out the marshal in that search area who will be wearing an orange hunting vest with the proper colored flagging.

The child will be asked for name, age and hometown. When all prize eggs have been found the finders will redeem the eggs for prizes from the Easter Bunny in the center of the park. Just one prize egg per child is allowed.

Vehicle parking is limited so plan to provide time for walking to Sisters City Park. For more information contact Sisters - Camp Sherman RFPD at 549-0771.
