The fourth annual Benefit Golf Tournament for Hospice of Redmond & Sisters, slated May 9, is a fun way to swing into golf season.
The 18-hole Guy-Gal Scramble begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. at Juniper Golf Club in Redmond.
The board and staff of Juniper Golf Club have donated the facility and greens fees to assure that the maximum amount of funds raised will go toward the care of the terminally ill served by the Hospice.
There will be a barbecue awards dinner for all players immediately following golf.
If skill and luck lend itself to shooting a "hole-in-one," Dave Hamilton has sponsored the prize of a new car.
Vacation packages will also be offered as prizes.
The field will be filled by the first 72 teams or 144 paid entries. The entry fee, $140 per team, includes green fees, barbecue for golfers and tee prizes. A $100 portion of the fee is tax-deductible.
Those without partners should call fro pairing.
Entry applications are available at Juniper Golf Club, golf shops throughout the community and at Hospice of Redmond & Sisters, 635 5th St., Redmond.
Hospice of Redmond & Sisters, is a nonprofit community-based program serving the terminally ill and grieving in local communities.
Funds raised from the golf tournament and other special events offset the cost of providing comprehensive hospice care to patients without insurance.
