Fire ravaged a home at 435 N. Tamarack in Sisters on Tuesday, May 12.
The blaze was called in at approximately 10 a.m.
The home is owned by Myrtle Offield-Ellison, but has been occupied since April by Dan and Kelley McVey, who recently moved to the area. No one was believed to be in the house at press time. Firefighters battled thick smoke which poured from broken windows throughout the building as flames licked the roof rafters.
The McVeys have three small children. Mr. McVey works at Aspen Lakes golf course. Cause of the fire has not been determined. Damage to the home was extensive.
The fire was brought under control at 11:50 a.m.
