Healthy Beginnings, a non-profit health and development screening program for all children from birth through four years of age, is holding a free screening in Sisters on Friday, September 11.
The screening will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public; however appointments must be made before September 2.
The children's' vision, hearing, speech/language, movement and concepts will be assessed. Nutrition, health, behavior and dental consultation as well as information on developmental stages and lead exposure are also provided.
The screening is sponsored in cooperation by the Commission on Children and Families; Bend Memorial Clinic; Rotary Club of Sisters; Redmond/Sisters United Way; the Sisters, Redmond and Bend/LaPine School Districts; Head Start; St. Charles Medical Center and Foundation; the Central Oregon District Hospital Foundation; and HealthWise.
