Sisters' Easter Egg Hunt set for Sunday

The annual Sisters Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Three Sisters Overnight Park and Creekside Park (formerly Sisters City Park) on Easter Sunday, April 4.

Sirens will sound promptly at 1 p.m. to start the hunt hosted by the Easter Bunny and the Sisters-Camp Sherman Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Association.

All children from infant through 11 years of age are invited to participate. The park is located near the Bend/Redmond Highway Junction at Highway 20 and East Jefferson Avenue.

The Easter Bunny will greet children and assist the members of Sisters-Camp Sherman Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Association and the Cloverdale Volunteer Firefighters Association, in the hiding of more than 4,000 colored eggs and 16 plastic prize eggs.

The Easter Bunny will have chocolate candy eggs for all participants.

Children are asked to be at the Sisters City Park at 12:40 p.m. This will allow time for them to go into the areas for their age groups. The age groups will be indicated by the following colors:

Infant to Two - Orange

Three to Five - Yellow

Six to Eight - Blue

Nine to 11 - Green

"Out of Bounds" - White

Four plastic prize eggs will be hidden in each age group area. When one is found, the child needs to turn the egg into the marshal for that area (one prize egg per child). The marshals, wearing orange vests, will ask for the winner's name, age, and hometown. When all prize eggs have been found the Easter Bunny will present the prizes at the center of the park.

(Note: Daylight Savings Time "springs forward" on Sunday, April 4).

The Easter Egg Hunt will be held regardless of the weather. Parking space is limited, so plan time for walking to the park. For more information contact Sisters-Camp Sherman RFPD at 549-0771.
