News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The Kiwanis Club of Sisters last Thursday, May 6, presented a $2,500 check to Sisters Organization for Activities and Recreation as the first half of a Kiwanis pledge of $5,000 to SOAR for 1998-99.
In accepting the check from Kiwanis president Norm Scott, SOAR director Tom Coffield commented that the financial help was very timely as the SOAR staff is getting ready for a wide-ranging program of summer activities for youth and adults.
Sisters Kiwanis has been a substantial supporter of SOAR both financially and through member participation in the organization and growth of the popular program.
With the current check, Kiwanis has contributed a total of $20,300 to SOAR since the program's inception.
