To the Editor:
The Forest Service has been promoting a resort development at the Cinder Beach area of Suttle Lake. Studies have been done to see which level of resort development would be the most profitable to the developer. Such a development would be highly subsidized by the public, for the land is virtually donated and the bridge over the creek would be paid for, at least partially, by public money.
The Forest Service justifies the proposal and the subsidy on the basis of "need"- but "need"for whom - the developer or the public?
The Forest Service has not made any study to see if people like the area the way it is. Does Suttle Lake need to be commercialized or are the special values best protected by keeping it the way it is?
Resort development is irreversible. If you like the area as it is, contact the Forest Service without delay, for a decision will be made shortly.

To the Editor:
To the friends of Sisters, there is no way to repay you for the kindness that you show.
But I think you're just wonderful and wanted you to know that there are all kinds of thank-yous, all very sincere.
For help or for gifts or for just being near. There are all kinds of things. A special thanks to the local Kingdom Hall for the spiritual as well as the physical thoughtfulness as note John: 13:35.
The kidney transplant has been a complete success.
