The Sisters Outlaws finished their regular season with a 46-0 drubbing of the Mollala Indians on Friday, Nov- ember 5.
The win solidified Sisters' playoff berth and gave the Outlaws its third straight Capital Conference title. Sisters is undefeated in the past two seasons.
Sisters took control of the game quickly. On Mollala's second play from scrimmage, Shane Crowder picked off Mollala's quarterback. On the ensuing play Dusty Macauley scrambled for the end zone, starting off the scoring.
Macauley passed for 185 yards and two touchdowns; he completed nine of 13 passes and was intercepted twice.
Chris Small hooked up twice with Macauley for 92 yards. Small's first reception was a 71-yard catch-and-run touchdown. Small broke several tackles then turned on the afterburners and outran the defense to the end zone.
Crowder caught six passes for 82 yards; one went for a touchdown. Crowder's six receptions put him over 50 receptions for the year.
Crowder's total is at 51, which breaks a school record previously held by T.K. Phelps.
Josh Orlando toted the ball only three times but racked up 73 yards and a touchdown. Macauley also scrambled for two touchdowns.
Sisters defense held Mollala under 200 total yards. Eli Pyke was in on 15 tackles and a sack; Pyke also recovered two fumbles. Ross Hayes had a season-best eight tackles while playing strong safety. Shane Crowder and Dusty Macauley both intercepted two passes.
Sisters' now has a bye week, then will host a second round playoff game.
"It's nice to be able to take a week off," coach Bob Macauley said. "We are going to get some solid practice in, and take the rest of the weekend off."
