Outlaws lead all-league selections

The Sisters Outlaws football team is a well respected force in the Capital Conference, and the league paid its respects by honoring 14 players with "All League" status.

The team garnered a total of 21 awards.

Senior quarterback Dusty Macauley was first-team "All League." He shared Offensive Player of the Year with Nate Tyler of Sweet Home, Tyler Brack of North Marion, and Will Cook of Cascade.

Eli Pyke was recognized in two positions, honorable mention at guard and first-team linebacker. Pyke also was Defensive Player of the Year along with Andy Ellis of Sweet Home and Bo Jackson of Central.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Outlaws had 11 All Leaguers. Josh Orlando and Jered Merrell were selected as second-team running backs. Luke Seile took first-team status at center. Jered Coffield was a first-team member at guard along with Pyke. Mike Mills was a first-team member at tackle and Thom Rivera made honorable mention.

Scott Nelson made honorable mention at the tight end position. Sisters' receiving duo of Chris Small and Shane Crowder were both selected to the first-team as wide receivers.

Grant Cyrus was recognized with honorable mention at linebacker, and Mike Mills got first-team defensive end.

On Sisters front line, Jered Coffield was a first-team tackle along with Jerad Wilmot on second-team; Nick Glidewell won honorable mention.

Chris Small was a first-team selection at cornerback. Shane Crowder took-first team safety honors and Scott Nelson got an honorable mention. Crowder was also named to the first-team as a return specialist.

The Outlaws are looking for the ultimate team award - a second state championship. But first, Sisters must take on the Estacada Rangers at home on Saturday November 20.
