Two vandals strike Sisters Village Green

Sheriff's deputies arrested Raymond Dean Rogers, 16, of Bend, and Justin Jeffrey Evans, 13, of Sisters, after they allegedly smashed up the bathrooms at the Village Green Sunday night, December 12.

The youths were charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a Class C felony.

According to sheriff's office reports, a citizen called to report hearing smashing noises inside the bathroom at about 6:45 p.m..

He reportedly spooked the youths, who left the scene.

The citizen flagged down deputies and pointed them toward where the youths had fled on foot.

Deputies pursued the youths and eventually apprehended them after a minor scuffle in the yard of a nearby residence.

According to deputies, both youths had been drinking. They were cited as minors in possession of alcohol.

Rogers was charged with furnishing alcohol and Evans was charged with third degree flight and resisting arrest.

Toilets and urinals were smashed with a cinder block, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage, according to the City of Sisters Public Works Department.

The citizen who reported the vandalism left after the deputies started their pursuit. Deputies said they want the man to contact the Sisters Sheriff's Station.
