Sisters sheriff's calls

• A Woodburn man reported losing his debit card - or having it stolen - last week. He reported one unauthorized use at a store in Sisters and two more in the Willamette Valley.

• Deputies chased down three young men who had outstanding felony warrants. The deputies caught them in the woods around Black Butte Ranch and added to their troubles citations for being minors in possession of alcohol.

• A couple were rescued from the snow and mud on Green Ridge in the wee hours of Monday morning, December 27, after they apparently got stuck taking a shortcut from the Madras area to the Valley.

• Deputies arrested a man on a Linn County warrant after stopping him for a traffic violation.

• A woman suffered minor injuries from her seatbelt and airbags after hitting a deer on the highway.

• A Sisters woman allegedly wrote several checks to local businesses on a closed account.

• Patrol deputies were to be be out in unprecedented force in the Sisters area over the New Year's holiday, making December 31 an exceptionally bad night on which to have just one more for the road.
